Accommodation
and location details:
Biert
is a small but vibrant village. The mayor is a great cycling fan and the
locals go to a lot of trouble to make our riders feel at home. Biert Aoué
is a group of the villagers who are keen to keep the local traditions alive.
Wood turners, artists, folk dancers and traditional musicians are all actively
part of this group.
The
Col de Sarraille made famous by Tim Moore in his book French Revolutions
rises out of Biert
Massat
is a lively village that in past centuries was the regional capital, it
has 2 bars 1 restaurant, a wine shop, Tourisme office, pharmacy and
several stores for provisions, and gifts. There are many village
parties and events happening through the holiday period including the summer
Night Market in the town square – a range of stalls selling local delicacies,
craft ware, gifts, wine, cheese, burgers, pancakes. Musicians and singers.
Promenade the town en fête. You can guarantee that the villagers
of Biert and Massat will put on a good show!

de Trois Seigneurs is a comfortable hotel situated on the edge of Massat
village.

We
have been running holidays for many years, starting from using the
cycle lodge that we founded in 1991 then moving bigger groups into
a larger hotel in the village of Massat when they proved too popular
for the lodge to accommodate the groups that came. For us the TDF
is not just a month of excitement in July, here in the Pyrenees we live
and breath cycle racing, the history of the tour is all around us.
Our
formula is of a two centred holiday the Massat based hotel
Le Trois Seigneurs at the foot of the Col de Port and Arudy Hotel de France
at the base of the Aubisque and the Col de Marie Blanque. You'll have
an opportunity to discover Ariege, the region which we love best in the
Pyrenees and watching the TDF pass through the Haute Pyrenees .
You'll taste excitement, see colourful
racing and be cycling in beautiful scenery. This year we are limiting the
holiday group to ten people with five people to ensure your holiday is
a delightful experience. Two full time back up vehicles and drivers Nick
retired proprietor of the cycle Lodge and Austin the new joint owner
. Sally the wife of Austin
assisted by Helen will be on hand at the lodge to welcome you after your
days riding , Jan will at the bikepyrenees design office in the centre
of Massat. Our aim on this holiday is that you return home full of
the flavours and images of life in this beautiful part of the world. Cycling
Jerseys will be available .

such a party in the village that one can almost forget that it's for a
